Books to read
in the last few days America has released a book called long but interesting for those who want to know the internal mechanism of American politics and in particular the internal organization of the staff of President Obama.
The book's title is "Revival. The struggle for survival inside the Obama White House" or "renovation. The effort to survive inside the White House to Obama."
I read the review in a newspaper and I would say that is really interesting because it is a book written by an experienced journalist, a political columnist in Italy would be called "Jaws" of the Transatlantic, the one who collects the indiscretions of politicians and discuss privately in corridor from the blue floor of Deputies, journalistically baptized transatlantic precisely.
The book contains statements and the events within the staff of the President, the wonderful staff that has shaped and created the extraordinary campaign that has brought Obama to victory against the powerful Clinton Mc Carthy before and after ..
You start with the economic adviser Larry Summers who was also Minister of Economic in 1999 with Clinton, who has just resigned to go back to teach at Harvard University.
It concludes with the great chief of staff Ralph Emanuel, who also resigned as a result of some misunderstanding.
Another good book on the subject always seems to be out a couple of weeks ago in America written by Noam Chomsky.
He belongs to the radical left or the radical left disappointed by Obama. Again the title is interesting: "America, no we can not."
They said that the final part of the book is a fierce criticism of Obama to be considered by the writer "held hostage by a team in turn held in hand by the conflicts of interest and the large capital, able to manipulate the government's action by targeting the media." Understand? "Targeting the media" .. but then not only in Italy we have a dictator who controls the TV and manipulate people's minds!
