An ancient ship found in China
ancient sunken ship was discovered on a construction site in Heze in east China's Shandong Province in September 2010.
The ship was built during the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) and is the oldest ever found in sunken ship Shandong, according to information from a press conference held jointly by the Province of Shandong Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, Heze Heze Municipal Government and the Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology on Nov. 23.
Archaeologists have recovered about 110 artifacts, including an almost intact blue and white vase 42 cm high with drawings of a dragon worth over 100 million yuan.
