wooden pen created from the wood of the wreck of the Mary Rose were sold to raise funds for a new museum to house the warship Tudor.
The 200 pens have been created using wood of oak, beech, elm, box, found on the seabed of the Solent near the wreck of the flagship of Henry VIII.
The Mary Rose Trust is hoping to gather 50,000 sterline.La 19 July, 1545 vessel sank with the loss of more than 400 lives. The wreck was
discovered in 1960 and in 1982 was brought to the surface to be restored in dry dock in Portsmouth.
Each pen is marked with a unique number that begins with the letters "MR", meaning that was recovered from the wreck site of the Mary Rose.
